People of all colors and races can get skin cancer. Clinic Dermatology recommends regular skin exams for everyone. Exams can be single spot or a full body check. If a suspicious spot is found, we will take a biopsy and send for further testing. Skin check is $135, biopsy fee is $130, lab fee is $160+.

Folliculitis is an infection and inflammation of hair follicles. The condition may occur anywhere on the body, though is most common on hair-bearing areas. Signs include red, rashy skin. Folliculitis of the upper chest and back often looks like tiny flesh-colored bumps that resembles acne. This is a commonly mis-diagnosed and under-treated.

Ringworm (tinea) is an itchy fungal infection that develops on the top layer of your skin. It's characterized by a red circular rash with clearer skin in the middle. Related diseases include athlete's foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris) and ringworm of the scalp (tinea capitis). Ringworm often spreads by direct skin-to-skin contact with an infected person.

Nail disease or onychosis is a disease or deformity of the nail. There are many types of nail disease which require medical treatment. The most common nail disease is onychomycosis, a fungal infection which can persist for years or decades.
